We Walked, We Ran & Now We’re Going to Do it all Again… by Mind Body Shift
Shift Digital spent time getting fit and giving back at the 39th Annual Oak Apple Run on Saturday, June 4th. Fifteen Shift employees, joined by their families and friends, came together in downtown Royal Oak for some fitness fun! Here are some highlights from the run and details on how to sign up for the next run/walk.
While some Shifters squashed the 5k run in Royal Oak, others took in the scenery during the 2-mile walk. We even had one Shifty lady take home gold! Congrats to Allie Laurin who placed first in the 5k in her age group (Go Allie!). Following the races, the team enjoyed cold brews at ROAK Brewing Co. and brunched at Ale Mary’s.
If you were unable to participate in the Oak Apple Run, or are up for another one, join us on Sunday, August 7th, between 8:00 am – 8:30 am, as we take on the 3rd Annual End Homelessness Now 5k/10k. The race starts and finishes at St. David’s Episcopal Church in Southfield, MI. If running isn’t your forte, join in on the 1-mile fun walk. Following the race, a pancake breakfast will be served for $3 per person.
Whether you’re an avid runner or enjoy a casual stroll, come out with us, get your steps in, eat some pancakes and support a great cause. Did we mention that you get a free Shift Wellness shirt*?
To register for the event, refer to the latest email from Mind Body Shift.
